Sample Reference

The sample length is not a project post length. Confirm the production material standard, actual outside size, wall tolerance, seam route, coating process, post length, fabrication, and finish in the later quotation. Unsupported fixed-year warranty language has been removed.

Measure the Section Rather Than Trusting the Label

Check both outside dimensions, wall thickness on each face, corner radius, diagonal, squareness, straightness of the short piece, and the condition of the longitudinal seam. Compare the sample with rails, brackets, caps, base plates, and sleeves that will mate with the production post. Coating thickness and corner geometry can change fit even where two items share a nominal three-inch description.

Review the Coating Stack

Inspect external and internal surfaces, the cut end, seam, corners, gloss, texture, color, coverage, and any visible runs, pinholes, chips, or handling marks. The cut sample exposes areas that may be finished differently on production-length posts, so ask how cut ends, drilled holes, welds, and base plates are protected. If the project has a coating standard, color chip, gloss target, salt exposure, or repair procedure, include it in the RFQ.

When stock and courier cutoff allow, the sample may ship on the same business day to a United States address. FedEx or DHL can be used based on service availability, and freight is calculated from the checkout destination.
