40 mm Square Steel Fence Bracket Sample

This online sample combines a black powder-coated square steel fence bracket with two black self-tapping screws for fit and finish review. The images show a square sleeve, opposing mounting tabs with one hole each, and the two fasteners separately. It is intended to help buyers compare the bracket with the real square tube and mounting surface before releasing a larger fitting order.

Sample Reference

The old half-inch wording conflicted with the 40 mm product and has been removed. Request the current drawing for internal square, wall thickness, overall length, tab dimensions, hole diameter and centers, corner radius, steel, coating, screws, and production tolerance.

Test the Bracket on the Intended Tube

Measure the actual square tube, including corner radius, seam, galvanizing, paint, burrs, and deformation. Slide the sample into its intended position without forcing it and check seating, orientation, tab contact, and hole access. Determine whether the same geometry works at line, end, corner, or panel connections. A passing fit on one tube does not automatically approve another supplier's nominal 40 mm profile.

Review the Screws and Mounting Material

Confirm screw diameter, length, drill point, thread, head, washer, coating, and compatibility with the bracket and mating member. The two included sample screws may not be correct for every tube wall, substrate, load, or exposure. The responsible installer or designer should select the final fastener and edge distance. Do not create oversized holes or over-tighten the bracket simply to make an unverified screw work.

Shipping and Sample Decision

When inventory and courier cutoff allow, the sample may ship on the same business day to a United States address. FedEx or DHL can be used based on service availability, and freight is calculated from the checkout destination. On receipt, record bracket measurements, fit result, screw test, finish review, and the assembly in which the sample was evaluated. Retain the labeled bracket and fasteners as the control reference.
