Define the Lower Connection
Because no flange kit is supplied, the RFQ must state how the post is supported. Show embedment depth, footing, sleeve, core drill, weld, or custom base connection on the project drawing. Confirm corrosion protection at cut ends, the ground line, concrete contact, and drainage. Do not assume the complete 2700 mm length remains exposed above grade.
Match Garrison Panels
Coordinate post spacing, panel width, rail positions, brackets, fasteners, corner direction, gate returns, and closing bays. Confirm whether the post includes predrilled holes, welded tabs, loose brackets, cap, or other fittings; only quoted components are supplied. Gate and terminal locations may require heavier posts or reinforcement and should be reviewed separately from line posts.
Specify Steel and Coating
State steel grade, wall thickness, manufacturing tolerance, weld or seam condition, pretreatment, primer or galvanizing if required, powder type, color, gloss, cure, and repair criteria. Customized color requires an approved sample. Powder coating alone should not be described as maintenance-free or corrosion-proof without the complete system and exposure being defined.
Packing Long Posts
Confirm bundle count, separators, cap and end protection, lifting points, package weight, pallet or rack method, and unloading equipment. Keep colors and post roles separately labeled. Inspect section, length, straightness, holes, cap, finish, and transport damage before posts are embedded or distributed along the fence run.

Inspect Before the Base Is Hidden
Before concrete, grout, or a sleeve conceals the lower post, verify embedment mark, orientation, plumb, bracket face, protective coating, drainage, and temporary support. Photograph the accepted installation where project records require it. A post installed at the wrong depth or rotated face is difficult to correct after the foundation cures.
