Record the views the screen needs to manage
Begin with photographs from both sides of the proposed screen. Mark the views to preserve and the views to interrupt, including neighboring upper windows, seating, entrances, and service areas. Decide whether privacy is needed only during daytime or also when the space behind the panel is illuminated at night.
Select a pattern from the EONE decorative screen range and review it at the intended scale. Large Acanthus Column and Daisy Bloom Lattice, for example, are different compositions, not interchangeable privacy specifications. Do not assign a privacy percentage from a product photograph. A representative cut sample or mockup is the better basis for a visual decision.
Measure the bay and define its edges
Show overall panel width and height, the visible patterned area, border widths, frame depth, joint gaps, and any mounting returns. Take measurements at multiple points when fitting between existing walls or posts. Record whether fasteners must be accessible from one side and whether a panel must later be removable.
On sloping sites, plan stepped bays or custom panel and frame geometry. Laser-cut sheets are rigid components, not rackable picket panels. They should not be bent or twisted to follow grade unless that forming operation is explicitly designed. Show each grade transition and pattern orientation so a repeated motif does not become unintentionally misaligned.
Review the support and exposure
Identify whether the screen uses independent posts, an existing fence, wall brackets, or another supporting frame. Have the responsible professional review wind exposure, loads, spans, connections, anchors, foundations, and the capacity of the receiving structure. An open pattern still presents wind area; the percentage of removed metal is not a stand-alone structural calculation.
- Confirm the material, thickness, edge treatment, and frame arrangement together.
- Specify fixing locations and required access without drilling through delicate pattern areas.
- Keep drainage and maintenance access available around bases, walls, and equipment.
- Review separate guard, pool-barrier, or facade requirements where those functions are involved.

Approve material and finish in context
Specify aluminum, coated steel, or an agreed weathering-steel grade, then review the proposed finish against adjacent construction. Where weathering steel is considered, SSAB's guidance describes exposure-dependent patina development. Ask the project team to review drainage and appearance expectations rather than promising a uniform final color.
Coordinate matching frames, posts, fasteners, and panel borders as a package. Confirm what EONE supplies and what remains a local purchase. Retain the approved pattern file, elevation, finish sample, and connection drawing with the purchase order.
Prepare for delivery and installation handoff
Door-to-door or site delivery can be arranged within the agreed quote. Confirm gate widths for delivery vehicles, unloading equipment, package weights, storage supports, and receiving appointments. Installation, crane service, duties, and all mounting hardware are not automatically included. Labels should identify panel sequence and orientation before the protective packing is removed.
Send the measured layout and interface requirements, and request samples for the decisions that still need physical approval.
