Two panels need one coordinated approval
A decorative double gate can use mirrored artwork, two complementary motifs, or a design that continues across the center. Each approach needs a different approval check. Prepare artwork that survives fabrication
Provide an editable pattern file in the agreed format and a dimensioned elevation showing both leaves. Identify units, revision, viewing side, active leaf, and the intended center gap. Mark which details must remain aligned when the gates are closed and which are independent panel features.
- Show frame borders, pattern margins, panel joints, and the approved leaf proportions.
- Reserve space for handles, locks, hinges, stops, and any access-control interfaces.
- Identify unsupported decorative islands or fine connections for fabrication review.
- State material, panel specification, finish system, color, and gloss requests.
- Include the rear appearance where exposed fixings or pattern orientation matter.

Review the center with real hardware
Place the selected handle and lock details on the approval drawing. A motif that looks balanced without hardware can become crowded once a lock plate is added. Confirm the active and secondary leaf relationship, closing sequence where relevant, and the responsibilities of any access-control installer.
Provide the site's functional requirements alongside the artwork. The visual approval should not be used as evidence of accessibility, pool-barrier suitability, fire performance, or automated-system certification. Where such requirements apply, identify the responsible reviewer and necessary evidence before accepting the supply scope.
Choose approval pieces that answer the open questions
A cut-pattern sample can help review edge quality and visual density. A coating sample establishes a finish reference. A center-joint or hardware sample may be useful when the meeting detail is unfamiliar. Agree whether a complete first article is also required, and distinguish appearance approval from installation testing.
Record the approved sample, artwork and drawing revisions, accepted deviations, and inspection criteria. Do not let a later change to the opening width silently stretch the pattern or shift the handles. Any change should return to the relevant approval stage.
Carry the identity into packaging and reorders
Supply authorized logos, crests, or brand motifs and confirm permission to reproduce them. Agree product marking, packaging graphics, documentation branding, and barcode information together. Document any exclusive design rights in a separate agreement, and verify authorization and supporting evidence before including certification marks in brand proofs.
Crate marks should identify the matched pair, individual leaves, viewing convention, finish, and hardware cartons. Retain the approved pattern files, assembly drawings, component list, sample references, packaging layout, and inspection scope for subsequent orders.
