Define everyday access before choosing symmetry
A symmetrical double gate can be attractive when closed yet inconvenient if its daily active leaf is poorly planned. Before selecting from EONE's Decorative Double Entry Gates, decide how guests, staff, carts, and maintenance equipment will pass through the entrance.
Record whether one leaf is normally active and whether opening both leaves is routine or occasional. Identify who operates any secondary latch or holding hardware. An unequal pair may be worth reviewing where daily passage and visual symmetry compete, but the final proportions and structure must be approved for the project.
Measure the finished opening and its approaches
Provide clear opening dimensions, wall or post sizes, frame depth constraints, and photographs from both sides. Add a plan showing hinge axes, swing direction, handle projections, planting, and nearby doors. A decorative gate should not collide with the next entrance or occupy the place where a visitor needs to stand.
Survey the finished paving through each leaf's sweep. Courtyard paving may fall toward a drain or change level at the boundary. A rigid double gate does not conform to that slope by bending. Ask the project team to resolve the opening geometry and paving interface before final fabrication.
Posts, wall connections, and foundations require review for the actual gate and substrate. Cladding or a decorative stone finish is not enough information to select a mounting method. Identify which support details are new work and which existing construction must be verified.
Coordinate the meeting edges and hardware
- Show the active leaf, latch receiver, and center meeting detail on the elevation.
- Confirm handle and lock models, fixing templates, and hand clearance.
- Identify approved stops, closers, or holding arrangements where required.
- Coordinate access-control wiring and power requirements with the responsible installer.
- Maintain access for adjustment and replacement without dismantling decorative panels unnecessarily.
For an applicable accessible route, the U.S. Access Board identifies requirements for an active leaf and maneuvering space. Have the project professional review accessibility, egress, and locking together. A decorative pair is not automatically an accessible, fire-rated, or powered vehicle gate.
Review the visual specification as a complete pair
Compare pattern scale with the width of the opening, the surrounding wall, and the selected handles. Floral Vine Lattice, Soft Cloud Scroll, and Baroque Filigree create different visual densities. Use a dimensioned drawing to check how the center gap interrupts the motif.
Confirm the proposed metal and coating specification rather than inferring them from a black product image. A physical finish sample helps coordinate adjacent screens, fencing, or entry furniture. Define whether the project needs a pattern section, hardware fit check, or assembled approval piece.
Order a package the receiving team can identify
List leaves, frame or posts, hinges, handles, locks, accessories, and packing separately. Mark left and right leaves from an agreed viewpoint and identify their matching hardware cartons. Custom dimensions and interfaces can be reviewed by EONE before quotation approval.
Door-to-door or site delivery can be arranged as quoted. Confirm access, unloading equipment, and receiving hours; installation, crane service, duties, and every accessory are not automatically included.
