A site plan that says 600 feet of screen leaves important questions unanswered. Does that total include gates? Are all panels the same height? Does the lower edge follow a slope or step around a retaining wall? A measured section schedule turns a broad allowance into a workable order.
Map Each Finished Section
Assign a section ID to every straight run, gate and transition. Record actual support dimensions, available attachment locations, obstructions and photographs. Separate raw site measurements from proposed finished screen dimensions so allowances are not deducted twice by different people.
Ball Fabrics' measuring guidance uses separate sections and gate measurements, a useful principle for project scheduling. Final deductions and clearances must follow the approved EONE drawing and attachment arrangement, not another manufacturer's numeric rule.
On sloping chain link, review whether a shaped screen or shorter sections will best fit the agreed geometry. On stepped rigid panels, coordinate separate screen shapes with the actual steps. Fabric should not be stretched diagonally to disguise an incorrect drawing. Keep gates independent so their movement is not obstructed by a screen bridging the opening.
Compare the Screen Specification
The EONE windscreen collection includes listed 6 ft and 8 ft formats, multiple lengths and custom orders. Current examples pair 145, 180 and 220 GSM fabric with different listed visual-blockage levels. Start with the required visual result, service conditions and approved support design rather than choosing the heaviest fabric by default.
- Confirm material construction, color and target visual blockage.
- Define finished size, tolerance, seams and the face that will be visible.
- Specify hem construction, corner reinforcement and grommet material and positions.
- Request relevant test data when UV, tear, burst or other performance is a contractual requirement.
Review samples against the actual background in daylight and, where relevant, under site lighting. A swatch can help compare color and openness; it cannot demonstrate the wind behavior of a full fence.
Review Attachment and Exposure Together
Have the responsible project professional confirm that the existing or proposed fence can accept the screen. Include posts, supports, panel connections, gates and foundations in that review. Privacy coverage, exposure and attachment geometry all belong in the project brief. Do not calculate wind resistance from the visual-blockage percentage.
Coordinate compatible attachment supplies and agreed spare quantities as part of the package. Keep the contractor's inspection and severe-weather procedures separate from the product order. Any requirement to remove or secure screens needs a planned responsibility, not an assumption that warehouse staff or a delivery driver will perform it.
Approve Packing and Delivery
EONE can review custom dimensions and a matched screen-and-accessory schedule. Mark each pack with the section ID and identify gate pieces separately. Agree folding or rolling, protective packaging and storage conditions so the installer can locate the correct piece without opening the entire shipment.
Door-to-door or site delivery can be arranged in the quote. Confirm vehicle access, receiving times and unloading resources. Installation, crane service, duties and all attachment accessories are not automatically included; the written scope must state what is supplied and who receives it.
Request approval samples and send the measured schedule, including the intended fence and site exposure.
