Start with a connection schedule
A replacement order for an existing commercial fence needs more information than a new drawing-based package. Different construction phases may have introduced different post sizes, coatings, or rail profiles. Divide the work into identifiable connection types and record how many of each are required.
Use the EONE fence fittings collection to identify the relevant family, then send a marked photograph or sketch for every interface. Give each connection a location code so the measurement record, quotation, sample, and carton label refer to the same assembly.
Measure finished members, not catalog names
- For a round clamp or band, record actual outside diameter at representative points, finish buildup, seam condition, and mating fitting.
- For a square bracket, record both outside dimensions, corner radius, available insertion depth, and any internal obstruction.
- For a plate connection, identify hole diameter, center spacing, material thickness, bearing surface, and accessible tool space.
- For fasteners, specify the approved diameter, length, head, nut, washer, coating, and package quantity.
The nominal 40 mm bracket sample in EONE's inventory is a useful fit-review starting point. Its listed sample screws should not be assumed suitable for every tube wall or mounting substrate. Likewise, a brace-band variant must be checked against its actual post or rail rather than selected by approximate inch-to-metric labeling.
Resolve awkward locations on the drawing
For hardware, uneven terrain usually becomes a mounting-interface question. A sloping fence line can create a rail angle, an offset mounting face, or a different bracket elevation. Record that geometry. Do not bend a rigid bracket or force a rail into a standard socket to absorb an unapproved angle.
Where an approved fence design uses stepped or raked geometry, coordinate the corresponding connections with the panel supplier. Walls, curbs, masonry piers, and steel columns need separate substrate details. A fitting that matches the rail does not verify the wall fixing or supporting structure.
Privacy screens and signs also change the system being supported. ASTM F1043's windload caution identifies fence additions as relevant to framework and fitting selection. Have the responsible designer review the complete fence; increasing bolt size or tightening a clamp is not a substitute.
Approve a representative assembly
Request samples for the most demanding interfaces, including corners and repaired members. Assemble the selected bracket, finished tube, and proposed fasteners without forced alignment. Record seating, clearances, hole access, surface damage, and the approved drawing revision.
Set finish requirements by exposure and appearance. Include coating route, color reference, acceptable cosmetic variation, and treatment of field damage. Do not infer a service life or load rating from the words galvanized or powder coated.
Quote a matched package and receiving plan
The RFQ should separate fitting quantities, fastener kits, spares, and optional items. Agree bag counts, location labels, carton weights, and whether similar-looking sizes require separate cartons. Receiving staff should be able to reconcile the packing list without opening every small bag.

Installation, crane service, duties, and every accessory are not automatically included. Submit the connection schedule for quotation with the destination and required delivery window.
