Measure more than the driveway width
For a sliding gate, the most useful survey combines the clear vehicle opening with the entire side travel area. Show the direction of travel on a plan, using a labeled street-side or property-side viewpoint. Include boundary walls, trees, services, parking, and any pedestrian route beside the gate. Do not equate opening width with overall gate length or required run-back. Support and end details can extend beyond the visible closing panel. Ask for an approval drawing that identifies all three dimensions and shows the fully open position.
Choose a support arrangement that suits the site
Confirm whether the proposal uses ground track or a cantilever structure. Treat that as a system comparison, not a universal sizing formula or an assurance that a particular EONE pattern is already available in either format.
Provide surveyed levels across the opening and along the run-back. Road crown, drainage channels, paving transitions, and seasonal debris deserve review before hardware selection. A rigid sliding leaf cannot simply follow uneven ground. Do not resolve a slope by arbitrarily tilting a powered travel path; have the gate designer and installer establish suitable geometry.

An operator choice should come from the qualified installer using the actual proposed assembly, not the appearance of a similar gate online.
Discuss how the decorative pattern affects the project brief, including privacy and site exposure. Show approved operator mounting interfaces before production rather than leaving them for unplanned field modifications.
Request a documented safety review covering the moving gate, adjacent fixed objects, pedestrian separation, protective devices, controls, and commissioning. Ask the responsible reviewer to identify the applicable requirements and supporting evidence for the proposed gate, operator, and installed system before order approval.
Release a defined package
List the leaf, posts, sliding hardware, finish, and optional equipment as separate quoted items. Mark electrical work, foundations, installation, and operator commissioning as included or excluded. Confirm whether adjoining pedestrian gates need a matching finish or coordinated pattern.
Site delivery can be arranged under the agreed quotation. Provide truck access, receiving hours, and the unloading plan for long gate crates. Crane work, installation, duties, and accessories are not automatically part of a delivery price.
