Keep the artwork and operating drawing connected
A custom sliding gate needs more than a pattern file. The decorative face must be coordinated with the overall length, support arrangement, travel direction, and hardware interfaces. Start with a current EONE sliding driveway gate design or submit customer drawings for manufacturability review. Identify which elements are fixed requirements and which the factory may propose to adjust.
EONE can discuss custom dimensions, materials, finishes, and OEM or private-label supply for brands. A reviewed quotation defines the accepted scope. No artwork should be treated as production-ready until the gate assembly and its intended operating arrangement have also been checked.
Provide files that answer different questions
Use a dimensioned elevation to show the visible design and a plan to show travel and support locations. Supply editable artwork in the format agreed with the factory, plus a viewable reference that makes orientation unambiguous. Record units, revision, viewing side, and whether the design repeats, mirrors, or changes across the panel.
- Identify clear opening, overall leaf size, height, and support-related extensions separately.
- Mark frame members, panel joints, cutout boundaries, and areas reserved for hardware.
- Provide approved drawings for drive, guide, receiving, and stop interfaces.
- State the requested metal specification, coating system, color, and gloss.
- Show any logo or project identifier without obscuring necessary product or safety information.
Laser cutting creates the panel geometry; fabrication still has to produce a usable assembly. Protolabs' process overview provides general context for separating cutting, forming, and joining decisions. Ask EONE to review fragile pattern features, edge finishing, panel attachment, and packing feasibility for the proposed construction rather than copying another manufacturer's limits.
Resolve the equipment boundary before approval
If an operator is supplied by another party, obtain its relevant interface requirements before the gate drawing is released. Confirm which party approves gate mass, mounting details, travel characteristics, and the surrounding safety arrangement. Do not label a frame universally compatible because it has room for a drive component.
ASTM F2200 covers automated vehicular gate construction. Any project requirement tied to that standard, operator certification, or local approval should be included in the RFQ with the responsible reviewer identified. A custom panel approval does not certify the installed system.
Approve the sample and brand presentation
Agree whether approval needs a cut-pattern section, coating sample, hardware fit check, or full first article. A small panel can confirm appearance but cannot demonstrate complete travel or support performance. Keep sample identification and approved deviations with the drawing revision.
For private-label orders, provide authorized artwork and approve product labels, crate marks, carton graphics, and supporting brand material together. Check that each mark remains readable after packing and that model identifiers correspond to the correct slide direction. Set out any brand-ownership or design-exclusivity terms in a separate agreement before approving production artwork.
Make the next order traceable
Retain the approved pattern file, assembly drawing, material and coating specification, component list, inspection requirements, and packaging layout. Mark large leaves and hardware cartons so receiving teams can match them without removing every protective layer. Reorders should cite that controlled package rather than only a catalog picture.
Submit the package through Request a Quote and arrange approval pieces through Order Samples. MOQ, tooling, testing, sample costs, packaging, and timing are agreed for the actual configuration.
